Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Fatigue Risk Executive, shall be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining documentation related to Fatigue Risk Management policy, processes and procedures.
  • Gathering, analysing and reporting on data to facilitate the assessment of fatigue-related risk amongst crewmembers.
  • Organising and keeping minutes of Fatigue Safety Action Group (FSAG) meetings.
  • Implementation of the Company’s various fatigue risk management processes.
  • Coordination of risk assessments in relation to fatigue hazards.
  • The development, maintenance and monitoring of fatigue risk safety performance / key performance indicators.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of controls and mitigations, and to bring any deviations to the attention of the FSAG.
  • Reviewing crew rosters prior to publication, during execution, and post-execution, to initiate corrective action as may be necessary with Crew Planning Department and Operations Control.
  • Identify and propose roster pairings or corrections to existing pairings, to minimise fatigue risk.
  • Dissemination of fatigue surveys amongst crewmembers, gathering of data, analysis and reporting.
  • The development, updating, and delivery of FRM education and training materials.
  • Processing of fatigue reports, investigation, and providing feedback to crew members and management.
  • Communicating fatigue risks and the performance of the FRM processes to the Director Safety & Compliance and the FSAG.

As Compliance auditor, shall be responsible for: 

  • Performing audits and inspections both locally and abroad as required by the Director Safety & Compliance. 

Other safety-related duties:

  • Leading safety promotion initiatives, through e.g. newsletters, digital media, etc. 
  • Safety data analysis and performance monitoring
  • Upkeep and development of safety dashboards
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS

The Fatigue Risk Executive shall have undertaken: 

  • Safety Management System (SMS) & Risk Assessment Training (RAT); 
  • Fatigue Risk Management training; 
  • Auditor training.
