Job Description
OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION
- The Commercial Analytics Specialist is a key conduit of KPI management and all commercial analytics development that relies on utilising and interpreting data to make effective, reliable business decisions based on accurate information.
- Accountable for the setting and management of all metrics for good control of revenue performance and strategic compliance across commercial.
- The role is to act as a hub-and-spoke model that delivers analytics and algorithms that deliver competitive advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop all aspects of corporate strategy, data, information and analytics strategy.
- Actively contribute to the development of the overall commercial strategy and business plan for the airline.
- Take responsibility for construct and distribution of revenue budget targets by partnering with Network Sales and Revenue Management.
- Own, create, and develop all technical aspects related to data tracking, delivery, and reporting.
- Ensure that regulatory compliance and data quality are maintained throughout the design and management of data and information systems, set standards to manage both physical and logical data.
- Create, document and present technical designs and technical solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure communication of sales actions and results within the team and to stakeholders in Sales, Revenue Management, Network Planning, Distribution, and Finance.
- Develop and foster relationships with reporting and analytics communities across the organisation, identifying opportunities to share best practice and develop collaborative strategies that deliver group benefits.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS
- Extensive background in data mining and/or statistical analysis.
- Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
- Experience with programming languages, such as Java / Saas / Python / SQL.
- Familiarity in Revenue Forecasting, Revenue & Route Planning, Commercial Data Architectures, Airline Data Warehouse, Revenue Accounting, NDC, One Order.
- Experience in the airline industry is desired.
- Degree MQF Level 6 or higher or other professional qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math / Data Science or related field (essential).
- Computing & Analytics: Requires a basic knowledge on Cloud platforms, SQL & NoSQL, Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Project Management, Business Analysis, Agile, Data Modeling & Warehousing, Data Mining.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
