The Glass Collage

Explore the evocative "Broken Glass Series" by renowned Maltese artist Emvin Cremona (1919–1987) in this reflective exhibition. The Glass Collage invites visitors to witness a journey from fracture to form, offering a quiet meditation on transformation through art.

Farsons Beer Festival
📅 3–12 July
📍 Ta’ Qali National Park
Malta’s legendary beer festival returns for 10 days of live music, family fun and of course plenty of ice-cold brews. Expect a mix of top local acts, street food and good vibes under the stars. Entrance is free, so just show up and raise a glass!

Valletta Local Food Festival
📅 4–6 July
📍 Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta
This popular celebration of Maltese flavours is back for its fourth edition. From local cheeses to pastries, chutneys, and traditional favourites, chefs and artisans bring Malta’s culinary heritage to life. With tastings, live demos and a beautiful backdrop, it’s a delicious outing for all ages.

Malta Metal Weekend
📅 4–6 July
📍 Eden Arena, St Julian’s
Metal fans, rejoice! This year’s headliners include Opeth, Dream Theater and Apocalyptica, joined by Cemetery Skyline and Geoff Tate (Queensrÿche). Whether you're a lifelong metalhead or just up for something loud and electric, this three-night festival promises pure adrenaline.

Malta Jazz Festival
📅 7–12 July
📍 Various venues, Valletta
Set against the stunning Ta’ Liesse waterfront, this much-loved festival brings together jazz greats from across the globe. This year’s line-up features Michael Mayo, Jonathan Blake and electro-funk duo Knower, among many others.

Għaxaq Music Festival
📅 17 & 18 July
📍 Għaxaq Grounds, Għaxaq
Zucchero kicks things off with his soulful blues and sultry grooves, followed by flamenco legends the Gipsy Kings (featuring Diego Baliardo). Two unmissable nights of music and Mediterranean rhythm await.

Dance Festival Malta
📅 24–27 July
📍 Valletta
This four-day celebration of movement brings together choreographers and dancers from around the world. From workshops to captivating performances, the festival invites you to explore the universal language of dance.

Beethoven & Scriabin
📅 26 July
📍 Hilton Malta, St Julian’s
The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra presents a sublime programme including Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and Scriabin’s mystical Le Poème de l’Extase. Violinist Ji Young Lim takes centre stage, conducted by Sergey Smbatyan.

TRADITIONAL FEASTS & CELEBRATIONS

Celebrating St George in Victoria, Gozo
📅 on 20 July
While the official liturgical feast of St George is on 23 April, Gozo’s grandest festa lights up the town of Victoria in mid-July. A week of processions, band marches, concerts, fireworks and horse races leads to the climactic Sunday celebration, as the statue of St George emerges to a sea of waving flags, confetti and music. Expect packed ferries and a truly unforgettable Gozitan festa atmosphere.
