Job Description

Purpose of Position

The Product Manager owns and drives the product strategy and roadmap for KM Malta Airlines' technology platforms, with a focus on the Airline's digital commercial platforms. Working across Commercial, Operational, and Technology functions, the role turns business priorities into deliverable product initiatives that improve the customer experience and support revenue growth. The role also contributes to growing product management practices within the Airline, working closely with the Head of IT and existing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the product strategy and roadmap across assigned technology platforms, in alignment with the Airline's wider technology and business strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to develop new products and enhance existing digital commercial platforms.
  • Translate market insight and customer feedback into prioritised product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Operations and IT teams to define product functional, non-functional and technical requirements.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept through delivery and retirement, keeping products customer-centric, data-informed, and commercially viable.
  • Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, including performance oversight, contract alignment, and escalation management.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for assigned product development projects, and develop KPIs to track product performance against business outcomes.
  • Support relevant business and data teams in extracting valuable information from the Airline's key Commercial systems and promote effective use of Commercial, Operations and Finance technology products.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of two years of experience in product management, or product ownership, with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility.
  • Proven track record in product management, product ownership, digital transformation, or digital strategy.
  • Practical experience working within Agile delivery environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Experience managing third-party technology vendors and SaaS platform relationships.
  • While not required, experience in the aviation, travel, or transportation industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent comparable professional qualification as recognised by the MQRIC.
